The Shumei Arts Council invites you to a free holiday concert, 2pm – 3pm on December 1, 2024. This family-friendly concert is a great way to kick off your December holiday season!
The concert features the Flutesonic Orchestra conducted by Gordon Halligan. This large flute ensemble will perform arrangements of popular holiday songs as well as arrangements of Corelli’s “Christmas Concerto”, two movements of Debussy’s “Petite Suite, and the ever popular “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev arranged by Shahid Osuna, with narration by Peter Marx. The concert will also include a new piece titled, “Renewal” by local composer, Larry Tuttle.
