DESCRIPTION:On New Year's Eve\, there is another beautiful Shumei tradition
 \, which begins with a purification Sampai at 5:45 PM. This is one of 3 t
 imes throughout the year when we chant the Kamigoto\, an especially potent
  prayer for purification… After chanting\, we will carry the flame from 
 the candles in the Sanctuary outdoors to light a fire outside. In this fir
 e ceremony\, everyone is invited to offer “all that they no longer need 
 or wish to carry with them into the New Year” to be transformed and puri
 fied in the fire… After this\, we will be serving Japanese (long life) n
 oodle bowls in our food service building for those who have pre-ordered…
 There is an $8.00 fee to cover the cost of the noodles.Want to bring a fri
 end? We would love to host your friend too\, just please make sure a form 
 is filled out for each person attending. Noodles are limited.\nPre-Order L
