The Shumei Youth Department empowers individuals aged 12 to 35 to connect, grow, and contribute to a harmonious world through activities like Jyorei, Natural Agriculture, and the appreciation of art and beauty. Rooted in Meishusama’s philosophy, we nurture unique talents, foster community connections, and inspire young leaders through initiatives aimed at creating “Heaven on Earth.”
Our mission is to cultivate a nurturing community for our young members, grounded in the belief that each person possesses unique talents capable of transforming the world for the better. By offering avenues to discover and develop these talents, we empower our youth to make significant contributions to society.

In the fall of 2015, the Shumei America Youth Department was officially established. Since then, we have been working hard towards our goal of Heaven on Earth by organizing events such as the Youth Sampai, the World Citizens Retreat in Crestone, and others.
Our Shumei America Youth Department is currently raising funds to let our youth members join our programs such as the 10th Youth Sampai in Penshilvenia, World Citizens Retreat in Crestone, and Youth Grand Sampai International Retreat in Japan. These experiences provide invaluable opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership development, and cultural exchange.
We believe investing in our youth’s spiritual growth is essential, and hope to reach our fundraising goal of $8,000. Your donations will help cover travel, accommodation, and activity costs, making these journeys accessible to all youth members.

The Youth Sampai Tour is a special journey celebrating Shumei America’s Youth Sampai, open to all youth ages 12 to 35. This inspiring tour offers a heartfelt opportunity to deepen one’s spiritual path, experience diverse cultures, and build lasting friendships across the country. By participating in Youth Sampai, practicing Jyorei, promoting Natural Agriculture, and appreciating art and beauty, young people are encouraged to awaken their passion for service and take part in creating a more harmonious and beautiful world.
Through Sampai, team-building activities, and immersion in Crestone’s breathtaking natural environment, participants learn to respect each other and what it means to live in harmony with nature. Learning about many different religions and cultures in the Crestone community and being in nature will provide youth with opportunities to explore their own purpose and become world citizens that benefit the planet.
The Youth Grand Sampai International Retreat is a transformative 6-day journey that takes place at Shumei’s sacred sites—Misono and Kishima Island. Designed for young people from around the world, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to experience the heart of Shumei through cultural immersion, spiritual exploration, and deep connection.
