

The Youth Grand Sampai International Retreat is a life-changing journey designed to help young people deepen their connection with Shumei’s origins and philosophy. This immersive program offers the opportunity to attend Youth Grand Sampai and explore Misono and Kishima, sacred Shumei sites where participants receive Divine Light. Highlights include the International Youth Retreat on Kishima Island, the Hoshi Program at Misono, the Natural Agriculture Program at Shumei’s demonstration farm, and the art program at MIHO MUSEUM. This retreat aims to inspire youth to embrace Shumei’s three main activities, practicing Jyorei, promoting Natural Agriculture, and appreciating art and beauty, equipping them to make a meaningful impact in their local communities while fostering deeper connections with the global Shumei family.
















What is the Youth Grand Sampai International Retreat?
The Youth Grand Sampai International Retreat is a transformative 6-day journey that takes place at Shumei’s sacred sites—Misono and Kishima Island. Designed for young people from around the world, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to experience the heart of Shumei through cultural immersion, spiritual exploration, and deep connection.
Throughout the retreat, participants will:
- Join the Youth Grand Sampai at Misono, Shumei’s spiritual headquarters.
- Take part in the International Youth Gathering on the peaceful Kishima Island.
- Experience the Special Art Program at the world-renowned MIHO MUSEUM.
- Engage in a hands-on Natural Agriculture program at Shigaraki no Sato, learning to live in harmony with nature through the cultivation of pure and life-giving food.
- Participate in the Hoshi Program, where selfless service becomes a path of inner growth, mindfulness, and contribution to the greater good.
This retreat is more than just a program—it’s a sacred opportunity to awaken your spirit, form meaningful friendships, and become part of a global movement toward beauty, truth, and goodness.
Total Estimated Cost
The cost will vary, depending on the programs. However, based on the past record, it is expected to be around ¥40,000 – ¥50,000 ($300 – $400 in US dollars). This includes accommodations, meals, Otamagushi (sampai donation), and transportation during the tour, but excludes airfare.
