Ninth Annual Youth Sampai

This year, as the youth of Shumei, we would like to work together on the theme of happiness for the world and focus on praying for the world and bringing happiness to those around us. This year’s theme, “Opening Our Hearts: Happiness Throughout the World,” emphasizes the importance of self-care and self-love. By understanding ourselves, fostering personal growth, and showing empathy, we contribute to the betterment of the world.

Meishusama’s teachings say, “In accord with God’s will, hope with all your heart for the happiness of all. When you love the world and help people, God protects you wherever you go.” As we open our hearts to the world around us and transform our inner selves, we can become a catalyst for positive change, and create a ripple effect that spreads happiness globally. This calls for each individual to find their own meaning of true happiness for the world, one that cares deeply and prays for the happiness of others. For self-reflection, please ask yourself: “What is your vision of happiness for the world?”

This is a two-day event that we used to do before the pandemic. We are so happy to host this exciting program again! This year we invite you to participate in person at the Pasadena Center. Or, for those who cannot make it in person, we also have a virtual option on Zoom for the Sunday Youth Sampai ceremony.
